My name is Tommy, I came to Hand in Hand Support suffering from opioid addiction that I had for 20+ years. What I gained from Hand in Hand Support was the tools of a new way of living, compassion, and acceptance regardless of your age. Hand in Hand Support also gave me the opportunity to grow at my own pace into a sober life. Once I completed the program, I was given the chance to manage a location that they had at the time for second-stage living. In the second-stage of my recovery is where I truly found who I am as a person. One thing I truly like is that no guest is rushed out of the doors, we are all given the time we need until we are ready to leave. I stayed for a period of 2 years and found my next living environment. I have been sober ever since 2021. I wish I found this program earlier in my life.
